Its very hard to say what it could be with very little information.

There where a few sightings around the Wexford on the 1st which turned out to be Chinese lanterns. I would like people to bare in mind that there was an explosion in Chinese lanterns being released over the Christmas/New year period in 2009.

They seem to move in unison and can move fast or slow depending on upper atmosphere winds, they can disappear suddenly and most of the time they are orange or a reddish in colour.

A couple who were sky watching & observing the blue moon eclipse with telescope equipment also had a sighting, the objects moved North to South it was soon joined by  another object ,disc shaped & for a moment the onlookers believed they were a meteor breaking up, they suggested the speed was possibly similar to what helicopters move at  but much faster than satellites move.
